I took a new to me trail at Lancaster County Central Park and was so glad I did, because I found a patch of Trillium flexipes. This beautiful flower has the common names of nodding trillium, nodding wakerobin, or drooping trillium.
Because I’m a night owl, I love Daylight Saving Time. Give me as much daylight in the evening as possible. To celebrate this year I took a hike with my camera at Ferncliff Wildlife and Wildflower Preserve.
The sun was shining, the temperature was in the low 60s F.
Barnes Run was tumbling over rocks.
The rocks were glistening with mica.
I saw numerous Spring Beauties blooming.
Virginia Bluebells were sprouting.
This one is starting to bud.
