I found a bunch of cool illustrations on the Biodiversity Heritage Library ‘s flickr stream and decided to use some in a journal spread.
I chose this bird and some leaves, cut them out and glued them in.
Then I drew some lines on the page.
I picked out some decorated papers and punched tiny circles out and glued them along the drawn lines. And yes, that was as tedious as it sounds. Pro tip: use a tweezers.
All the circles glued down.
I added some starburst effects to the circles on the top right,
and some more doodles to the bottom left.
Then I added some washi tape to the empty spaces, and the spread was finished.
